The data
Britain has not one vet AI is ready to recommend.
We ran the free SearchScore audit across 1,977 UK veterinary practices. The AI Search scores averaged 52 out of 100. The AI-Ready bar sits at 80. Not one of the 1,977 practices reached it. The single best-performing practice in the whole country scored 78.1 - close, but still short. These are clean, quotable facts. Use them.

Effectively anonymous to AI
Only 12% name a qualified vet AI can read. The rest are faceless to it.
Sorted into the five SearchScore tiers, the country looks like this. Most practices are stuck in the middle bands - readable enough to exist, nowhere near readable enough to be recommended.
| Tier | AI Search score | Share of practices |
| AI-Ready | 80 - 100 | 0% |
| Strong | 60 - 79 | 26.9% |
| Emerging | 40 - 59 | 58.1% |
| Low Visibility | 20 - 39 | 14.8% |
| Invisible | 0 - 19 | 0.3% |
Look at where practices are winning and losing, category by category, and a clear pattern shows up: the basics AI can crawl are handled, but the human proof that earns a recommendation - who your vets are, and why anyone should trust them - is the weakest thing on the page.

| Brand authority | 34 (weakest) |
One practice came within reach. Just one.
The highest-scoring practice of all 1,977 was Your Family Vets, with an AI Search score of 78.1 - near the mark, but still short of AI-Ready. Only seventeen practices in the whole country sit within striking distance of the bar, in the 70 to 80 range. For nearly everyone else, the gap is smaller than it looks: in our data, adding structured FAQ markup was worth about 12 points, and adding AI-answer markup was worth about another 12. Fewer than one practice in fifty currently tags its FAQ at all.
