The clinic data
1,567 UK aesthetic clinics, scored. One is AI-Ready.

The whole cohort, in five tiers
| Tier |
AI Search Score |
Share of clinics |
| AI-Ready | 80 - 100 | 0% |
| Strong | 60 - 79 | 39.6% |
| Emerging | 40 - 59 | 52.6% |
| Low Visibility | 20 - 39 | 7.4% |
| Invisible | 0 - 19 | 0.4% |
More than nine in ten clinics sit in the Strong or Emerging band. They are close - but "close" is not "recommended". A cautious AI answering a safety question wants a clinic it can be sure about, and only one clinic gives it that certainty.
What clinics score well on - and what they don't
| Category |
Average /100 |
| Technical basics (strongest) | 81 |
| Easy for AI to quote | 74 |
| Topic coverage | 73 |
| Platform setup | 62 |
| Expertise & trust | 52 |
| AI-platform readiness | 44 |
| Labelled information | 41 |
| Brand authority (weakest) | 38 |
The strength is technical: clinic sites load, work and are easy for an AI to quote. The weakness is trust the AI can read - brand authority is the weakest category at 38. Clinics let AI in (94 to 96% of them do) but never hand it the proof it needs. Only 15% name a qualified practitioner an AI can read; only 3% tag their FAQs with schema.
The maths is generous. Naming your expert - the practitioner, their register and training - is worth about 12 points on your AI Search Score, and adding FAQ markup is worth about 13 points. And 60 clinics already sit just below the line at 70 to 80. For most of them, those two fixes are the difference between "Strong" and being the clinic AI recommends. The leaders already do it: 51% of top clinics name a practitioner in text versus 7% of the rest, and 21% use answer schema versus 4%.
