The AI Visibility Index · UK Aesthetic Clinics 2026

Britain has just one aesthetic clinic AI is ready to recommend.

When someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Google's AI to recommend a clinic, it reads websites and puts a few names forward. We checked 716 UK aesthetic clinic websites to see how ready each one is to be picked. Just one is fully ready. Here is what the rest are missing.

The last step skipped
18%
name a qualified practitioner in a way AI can read. Fewer than one clinic in five, of 716.

Letting AI in is the easy part, and nearly every clinic does it. Giving the AI clear, well-labelled information — who the practitioners are, what the treatments are, what people say — is the part that wins the recommendation, and almost no one does it.

The headlines

Five things we found.

1
One clinic in 716 is fully AI-ready. myGP Clinic leads the country at 80. It proves the standard can be reached, and that almost no one has reached it.
2
94% let AI in, but almost none label who they are for it. Only about 18% name a qualified practitioner in a way a machine can read.
3
The expertise is there, but AI cannot see it. Clinics show their treatments and results, yet only 18% name a practitioner in a way AI can read, and only 18% tag their FAQ so AI can use it.
4
The hard work is done; the last small step is skipped. The weakest area across the whole index is structured data — the labels that tell AI what a clinic, its treatments and its team are — averaging just 44 out of 100.
5
The leaders are not better clinics. They feed AI better. The gap between the top clinics and the rest is tidy, well-labelled information, not the quality of the treatments.
Where everyone stands

An average of 58, and one clinic out in front.

Every clinic gets a score from 0 to 100 for how ready it is to be found and recommended by AI. To reach the top "AI-Ready" band you need 80, and only one clinic gets there.

Half of all clinics are Strong and four in ten sit in the middle. When someone asks an AI to recommend a clinic, it names two or three, not ten. When nearly every clinic looks the same, the few that stand out win far more than their share.

What clinics get right and wrong

Strong on the basics. Weak where it counts.

The score is built from eight areas. Clinics do well on the things their website builder handles automatically, and fall down on the two AI leans on most: tidy labelled information, and signs of a known, trusted brand.

The pattern behind the numbers

The work is done. It is just never labelled for AI.

The same thing keeps happening. Clinics write the content, hold the expertise and answer the questions, then never add the small labels that let AI read and trust any of it.

18%

Hidden practitioners

Only 18% of clinics name a qualified practitioner in a way AI can read. The expertise is real, and invisible to the machine.

82%

The last step skipped

82% of clinics never add the FAQ tag that lets AI use their questions and answers. The hard part is finished; the quick part is missing.

1 of 716

The full set

Just one clinic clears the AI-Ready mark — myGP Clinic at 80. The recipe is known, and almost no one follows it.

+20

The one big fix

Adding the standard structured-data labels is worth about 20 points on its own, the biggest single win a clinic controls. Most still do not have them.

Trust, unlabelled

The signals AI weighs, left off the page

Aesthetics is won on trust and safety — named, qualified practitioners, genuine reviews, real credentials. Yet brand authority averages just 45 and structured data 44 across the index, so the very things a client (and an AI) look for before booking are rarely labelled in a way AI can read. This is the open goal.

What the leaders do differently

Leaders are not better clinics. They feed AI better.

Put the top few percent of clinics next to everyone in the middle and below. The whole difference is tidy, labelled information, not the quality of the treatments.

SearchScore How we did this. We checked each clinic's live website the same way an AI reader would, looking at more than 250 things that affect whether AI can find, understand and recommend it, and turned that into a score out of 100. The benchmark covers 716 UK aesthetic clinics identified from public listings and the SearchScore aesthetic-clinic index, each audited in 2026 across GEO, SEO and CRO. We name only the ten highest-scoring clinics, all notified before publication; the rest stay anonymous.
SearchScore is a trading name of The Product Specialists Ltd. Figures current as of 2026. The score measures how ready a website is to be recommended by AI; whether AI is recommending a clinic today is tracked separately.
