SearchScore MCP

Ask your AI assistant what to do next, and get an answer from your own data

Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to your SearchScore account. Ask what to fix, which sources to pursue or how AI answers about you have changed, and the answer comes from your audit, Fix-List, Playbook and Tracker.

For SearchScore Tracker and Playbook customers. Read-only: it never changes your account.

What it is

MCP (the Model Context Protocol) is the open standard AI assistants use to connect to other services. SearchScore runs one MCP server that any compatible assistant can connect to. Once you connect it and sign in, your assistant can read your SearchScore results and answer questions about them in the same conversation.

There is nothing to install. You add one web address to your assistant, sign in to SearchScore once and approve access.

"What should I do next?", answered from your results

A general assistant can only guess what your site needs. With SearchScore connected, it starts from what was actually measured on your site.

  1. Your findings. It reads your stored audit, your Fix-List progress, your released Playbook and your Tracker history.
  2. Ranked for you. SearchScore ranks your next actions from your open Fix-List and Action Centre items, and says which of them each action covers.
  3. Your Playbook included. When your Playbook is released, its “do first” list comes with the answer.

Who can use it

You connect with your own SearchScore sign-in, and you only ever see your own sites.

Tracker customers

Every Tracker subscriber on Starter, Pro, Scale and Enterprise can read their own results from their assistant.

Playbook customers

Every AI Visibility Playbook customer can read their own results too, including the released Playbook.

What your assistant can do

These are the tools your assistant sees. You don’t call them by name: ask in plain English and the assistant picks the right one. Every one is read-only.

  • Start here what_should_i_do_next

Recommends the next actions for one of your sites, ranked from your open Fix-List and Action Centre items, with your Playbook’s “do first” list when it is released.

  • Your account list_my_sites

Lists the sites on your account and which products each one has, including any that are not yet linked to it.

  • Diagnose get_audit

Reads your most recent stored audit, with the GEO, SEO and CRO scores reported separately. It does not run a new audit.

  • Diagnose get_fix_list

Reads your Fix-List, including what you have already marked as done.

  • Plan get_playbook

Reads your released Playbook: what to do first and next, the sources AI relies on, the competitors it names and how you showed up across the buying questions.

  • Measure get_tracker_history

Reads your Tracker history, so you can see how AI answers about you have changed.

  • Measure get_competitors

Reads the competitors already recorded in your Tracker and Playbook.

  • Learn kos_search kos_explain

Searches the SearchScore knowledge base and explains an entry, so your assistant can tell you why a fix matters, not only what it is.

Set it up

Every assistant uses the same server address. You sign in with your usual SearchScore login: a sign-in page opens, you approve access and you’re done.

Server address https://mcp.searchscore.io/mcp

Step-by-step instructions for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Claude Code, with copy buttons and an Add to Cursor link, are in the connection guide.

If your assistant can’t open a sign-in page, use a personal access token instead: create one in your Tracker settings, under MCP access, and send it as a bearer token in the Authorization header. Treat a token like a password, and revoke it in the same place at any time.

Things to ask

Use your own domain in place of acme.com.

  • What should I fix first on acme.com? Starts from your Fix-List and Action Centre items.
  • Which sources should I pursue from my Playbook? Reads the sources in your released Playbook.
  • How have AI answers about acme.com changed since last month? Reads your Tracker history.
  • Which competitors come up instead of us? Reads the competitors in your results.
  • What’s left on my Fix-List? Reads your Fix-List progress.
  • Explain why that fix matters. Looks it up in the SearchScore knowledge base.

Security and privacy

  • Read-only. Your assistant can read your results. It cannot change your account, tick off fixes or start new scans.
  • Only your own sites. Every request is checked against the sites on your account. Your assistant never sees another customer’s data.
  • You sign in on SearchScore. Your assistant receives permission to read, never your SearchScore password.
  • Disconnect any time. Remove SearchScore in your assistant, or revoke a personal access token in your Tracker settings.
  • Reads are logged. Each read of your data is recorded with the tool, the site and the client that made it.

What your assistant does with the results it reads is governed by that assistant’s own terms. See our privacy policy and security page.

Questions

Which assistants does it work with?

Assistants and editors that support remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP. The connection guide has steps for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Claude Code.

Does asking a question run a new audit?

No. The tools read results SearchScore has already stored for your sites. Asking questions does not start scans.

Can my assistant change anything in my account?

No. Every tool is read-only.

Can I look up a competitor’s site?

You can ask about the competitors already recorded for your site, using data we have already measured. The connector does not audit other websites on demand.

One of my sites is missing. Why?

Your assistant sees the sites on the account you signed in with. If you bought a product with a different email address, that site may show as not linked. If that happens, email [email protected] and we’ll help.

Will the assistant give my site a new score?

The connector returns the scores SearchScore measured. It does not work out a new one.

How do I disconnect?

Remove SearchScore from your assistant’s connectors or MCP settings. If you used a personal access token, revoke it in your Tracker settings.
