Purpose
Pages published without discipline are frequently uncrawlable, orphaned or poorly targeted from day one. This SOP guarantees each new page meets the technical, content and linking standards required to rank.

Confirm the target query
Verify the page maps to a genuine query gap and does not cannibalise an existing page targeting the same intent.

Check on-page fundamentals
Validate the title, meta description, single H1, heading hierarchy and answer-first opening address the primary intent.

Add structured data
Apply the correct schema type for the page using the Schema Selection Framework and validate it before publishing.

Wire internal links
Link the new page from its topic pillar and at least three relevant existing pages, and add outbound links to related content.

Verify indexability
Ensure the page is not noindexed or blocked, carries a self-referencing canonical and is included in the XML sitemap.

Publish and submit
Publish the page, request indexing in Search Console and confirm it returns a 200 response with no render issues.

Record and schedule review
Log the page in the content register and set a first performance review for 30 days out.
